Terms Of Service

Soul Legacy Collective (SLC) is an online community and platform for Gen X women.

These Terms of Service govern your use of the platform.
By creating an account or accessing any part of SLC, you agree to these terms.
Read them. They're written to be understood, not to obscure anything.

1. What SLC Is

Soul Legacy Collective is a peer community -- a gathering place, not a clinical service. The women here, including the Firekeepers who hold circles, are not therapists, licensed counselors, or mental health professionals in their SLC capacity. Participation in SLC is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

If something comes up that is bigger than this space can hold, we will say so. We keep crisis resources available and will point you toward them when it matters.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your login credentials secure. You may not share your account or transfer it to anyone else. You must be 18 or older to participate in SLC.

3. Member Conduct

SLC is built on radical honesty and mutual respect. The Community Guidelines (linked separately) describe what that looks like in practice. A few things that apply to everyone, everywhere on the platform:

- No harassment, threats, or targeted attacks on other members.
- No content that demeans, discriminates against, or dehumanizes anyone based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or any other identity.
- No sharing of another member's private information without their consent.
- No spam, solicitation, or promotion of outside services without prior approval from SLC.

Violations of these standards may result in removal from the platform. We do not take that lightly, and we do not do it casually.

4. Intellectual Property

What SLC owns:
The SLC framework, foundational documents, brand, platform structure, and any content created by SLC or on behalf of SLC. This includes the names Soul Legacy Collective™, Firekeepers™, Fire Circle™, Hearth Fire™, and Campfire™.

What you own: Your stories, your shares, your truth. Everything you bring to this space belongs to you. SLC does not claim your content.

What Firekeepers own: Materials a Firekeeper creates for her circle belong to her, subject to the terms of her Firekeeper Agreement. By posting content on the SLC platform, you grant SLC a limited, non-exclusive license to display that content within the platform for the purpose of running the community.

We will never sell your content, use it in advertising, or distribute it outside the platform without your explicit consent.

5. Payments and Refunds

Payment terms for each offering are stated at the point of purchase. By completing a purchase you agree to those terms and to these Terms of Service. The SLC Refund Policy is a separate document, linked at purchase and available in your member area. Read it before you buy.

6. Termination

You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation stops future charges. It does not generate a refund for the current billing period unless you are within the 30-day guarantee window.

SLC reserves the right to suspend or remove any account that violates these Terms of Service or the Community Guidelines. We will use this power carefully and only when necessary.

7. Limitation of Liability

SLC is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the platform running, the community healthy, and the experience what it's meant to be. But we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, and we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the platform beyond the amount you paid for membership in the prior 30 days.

SLC is not responsible for the actions of individual members or Firekeepers, though we hold everyone to the same standards and take conduct seriously.

8. Dispute Resolution

If something goes wrong, we want to talk about it first. Reach out to us directly before taking any other action.

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, any legal claims will be handled under the laws of the State of Minnesota, in the courts of Minnesota.

9. Changes to These Terms

If we change these Terms of Service in a meaningful way, we will notify members before the change takes effect.

Continuing to use SLC after that notification means you accept the updated terms.
